Dear Alison
Howz it beautiful. Howz life been treating you? What have you been doing with yourself?
BODY BOARDING GOES OFF (FROM NIGEL - YOU MIGHT MEET ME ONE DAY SOON!
GOD BLESS, NIGEl (GOES OFF)
You might meet him one day. That is Nigel Surf. He is one of my mates from church. He lives almost right on the beach.
One thing I must say. And I am sure I have said it before. Gisborne is the best place in NZ to live. To start, the beaches are the best there are, and then the climate is very warm. Gisborne may be surrounded by the hilss but these hills help the region alot. They keep out a lot of the rain in winter, and bring the warm winds from the North west. You'll have to come here one day and find out.
School sux! Full Stop! That's all I can say about school. My school exams are coming up in a few week, and these are very important to me as they count towards getting Dux, and at the moment I am still in the running. The Bursary exams are not until November. I think I have a good chance at getting an A Bursary. Question...Are you sixt or fifth form? And what subjects are you sitting and what school do you go to?
I have just recently been to the Gisborne Girls High Sixth Form ball. My partner was a girl with one of the worst reputations in town. She is rather an annoying creature but she doesn't deserve everything charged against her. Coming up very soon is my school ball. The Gisborne Boys High Senior Ball. I'm going with this really big girl. She is really funny and very friendly. I met her at a School Christian Fellowship group. The Boys High Ball should be better than the Girls High Ball. Did you go to any school balls?
I have heard of that camp at Kiwi Ranch, our whole youth gorup was supposed to be going. I don't think I will be able to go. I think my school exams are around that time. I know that there are some people that won't be able to go because of finance problems. Anyway, keep an eye out for anyone from Gisborne AOG and say Hi if you see them at this camp.
Late in the August holidays, from halfway through the second week until halfway through the third I was staying at my Grandparents place. I would have walked passed your place on my way into town a couple of times. In my week there I got around alot. I biked to flaxmere. I biked to Hastings then Havelock North to see Peter, then i biked out to Martha's place one day. That took me two hours from Napier to get there, and two hours home.
Well, I didn't take two months to reply like Martha said I would. look after yourself. Say "Hi" to Marvin and any of the other crew I may know in your youth group. Write and tell me about yourself, let me get to know you.
Later dude,
Shane
